Privacy policy

This policy describes G&G Realty Group of Realty Star Group and the website at ggrealtygroup.com. Chris Groves, Broker, operates the site for his real estate practice. You can reach him at [email protected] or (828) 490-9271.
What the contact form collects
If you send the form, you provide your name, email address, phone number if you include one, whether you are buying, selling, both, or something else, and your message. The page address and the topic of the link you followed may be included so Chris knows what you were looking at.
A hidden field is there to catch automated submissions. Please leave it blank. If a spam-check widget is turned on later, Cloudflare Turnstile may process a token to tell a person from a script. That widget is not loaded unless a site key is added in the site config.
How those messages are used
Chris uses what you send to answer you about buying, selling, a listing, or joining his group. Messages are delivered by email to [email protected]. He does not sell personal information. This site does not run advertising cookies or analytics scripts.
The site is hosted on Cloudflare. Like most hosts, Cloudflare processes IP addresses and basic request data to deliver pages and to protect the network. That processing is part of hosting, not a marketing program Chris runs.
Guides, accounts, and the chat
Downloading a guide without an account asks for your name and email. That request is emailed to [email protected]. If email delivery is not connected, the guide still downloads and you can send the same note from your own mail app.
A visitor account stores your name, email, and a PBKDF2 password hash in a Cloudflare database. The password itself is not stored and is not emailed. A session cookie named gg_session is httpOnly, so page scripts cannot read it. Saved homes are the listing addresses you mark. A new account emails your name and email to Chris. Log out deletes the session. Email Chris if you want the account removed.
The chat answers general questions. After a couple of messages it can ask for your name, phone or email, and what you want. If you send that, Chris receives it by email. The assistant does not give legal, tax, or lending advice as fact, does not promise prices, and does not comment on who lives in a neighborhood. If the assistant is unavailable, the panel shows (828) 490-9271 and the contact page instead of an error.
How long it is kept
Email Chris receives is kept as long as he needs it for the conversation and for ordinary business records. Email him if you want him to delete a message you sent, and he will remove it from his inbox unless he must keep it for a legal or brokerage reason.

Links to Realty Star Group, social profiles, MyStateMLS, or a fair-housing resource leave this site. Those sites have their own policies.
Children
This site is not directed at children under 13, and Chris does not knowingly collect their information.
Changes
If this policy changes, the effective date at the top will change with it.
